Project work and service calls on one system.
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, mechanical: specialty contractors run two businesses at once, project work for GCs and service work for customers. We build one custom platform that handles both, from the estimate to the last service visit.
Every handoff, in one place.
Most job cost surprises come from handoffs: an estimate that never became a budget, hours logged to the wrong code, a change order done in the field but never priced. In one platform, each step carries the last one forward.
- 1
Estimate
Takeoffs, labor units and material pricing built per trade, with your own assemblies, so estimates stay consistent across estimators.
- 2
Job
A won estimate becomes the job budget by cost code, so you track against what you bid from day one.
- 3
Crew scheduling
Crews and licensed leads scheduled across projects and service calls, with certifications and equipment visible.
- 4
Field time
Crews clock time to job, phase and cost code from a phone, feeding payroll and job cost without re-entry.
- 5
Change orders
Field changes logged with photos and hours, priced, sent for approval and added to the contract value once signed.
- 6
Progress billing
Schedule of values, percent complete and retainage tracked per job, producing AIA-style pay applications from the same numbers.
- 7
Service & maintenance
Warranty calls, service tickets and maintenance agreements tied to the customer and the equipment you installed.
When a standard setup stops fitting.
Standard construction tools are good at what they were built for. ServiceTitan is strong for service-heavy residential trades. Buildertrend is built around residential builders and remodelers. Procore is built for general contractors managing large projects and their subs. Each works well for the business it was designed around.
Specialty contractors often sit between them. A mechanical or electrical contractor might bid commercial work to GCs, need AIA-style progress billing with retainage, and run a service department with maintenance agreements, all at once. The result is usually two or three systems plus spreadsheets: one for service, one for projects, one for estimating, and the accounting system catching what falls through.
The signs are familiar. Field hours are coded after the fact, so job cost lags by weeks. Change orders are done on a handshake and billed late, or not at all. Pay applications are rebuilt in a spreadsheet each month. The service team can’t see what was installed on a project last year.
A custom platform puts estimates, jobs, crews, field time, change orders, progress billing and service on the same records, using your cost codes and trade assemblies. Your accounting system usually stays, connected so payroll and job cost don’t need double entry.
What month-end looks like
On the 25th, the project manager opens each job and updates percent complete against the schedule of values. Approved change orders are already on it, retainage is calculated, and stored materials are listed from the purchase orders. The pay application is produced from those numbers and sent to the GC. The same screen shows labor hours against budget by cost code, because crews have been clocking to codes all month, so the office sees which jobs are trending over while there’s still work left to adjust.

Questions specialty contractors ask us.
Is this a replacement for ServiceTitan, Buildertrend or Procore?
It can be. If one of them fits your mix of work, keep it, and we’ll tell you so. Specialty contractors come to us when they’re running service in one tool, projects in another and estimating in spreadsheets, and nobody sees the whole business in one place.
Can it produce AIA-style progress billing with retainage?
Yes. Schedule of values, percent complete, stored materials, retainage and approved change orders are tracked per job, and pay applications are produced from the same numbers your project managers update.
Does it handle service work and maintenance agreements too?
Yes. Service tickets, warranty calls and recurring maintenance visits live on the same customer and equipment records as the project that installed them.
Does it work for our trade?
We build around your trade’s cost codes, assemblies, licensing and inspection steps, whether that’s electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, mechanical or another specialty. Nothing is forced into a generic template.
Can crews use it in the field?
The field screens are built for a phone: clock in, pick the job and cost code, log the day, photograph a change. Training is included, and we train crews on their own work.
Can we keep QuickBooks or our accounting system?
Yes. Most contractors keep their accounting system. We connect it so payroll hours, job cost and invoices flow through without re-entry.
How long does it take to switch?
One location is typically live in four to six weeks, including moving open jobs, customers and service agreements, and training the office and crews.
What does it cost?
$497/mo for one location, $1,497/mo for up to three, and from $2,997/mo for larger contractors, month-to-month with no lock-in. Pricing is per plan, not per seat, and migration, onboarding, and training are included.
